If you are using an internet service provider such as America On-Line or NetZero, your connection to the Internet may be interrupted while you are taking a quiz. When you are taking a quiz in Blackboard, you are not actually navigating the web. America On-Line and other internet service providers see this as inactivity and will try to close down your connection. You may receive a message saying that your Internet connection will be closed unless you click OK or Yes. Click the appropriate button to verify that you would like to continue using the internet and you should be able to finish completing your quiz.
If you have lost your internet connection and your quiz attempt, contact your Instructor to have your quiz attempt reset.
If your quiz contained any short answer/essay questions, your final grade will not include any partial or full credit for these questions until your Instructor has corrected the exam.
Although multiple choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions are autograded by Blackboard, short answer/essay questions are not. Only your instructor can supply points for these types of questions. Your actual grade for your exam will not be properly reflected in your View Grades section (within Tools) until the exam has been fully corrected.
